Headed to Prom in Purple!

We have been fortunate enough to watch the Threatful girls grow into beauiful young ladies. This year it was Terrilane's turn for her promshoot. Walking around downtown in her beautiful purple gown definately turned some heads. We always look forward to spending time with this family as they make our job easy with their piercing blue eyes and ease in front of a camera. Thank you for including us such a special day!

The Prom Crew

I had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with this prom crew (Amber, Linden, Sarah, and Ben). All of them were full of energy and very comfortable with the camera. They were so layed back and I could tell they really had fun spending time with their best buds. It was a bit of an overcast day, and by the end of the shoot it had started to rain slightly, but that did not dampen their spirits. They pushed right on through and worked the camera right to the very end. It was a very special shoot in particular for Amber and Linden (blue dress and grey shirt) as they were celebrating being together for 6 months! I love the way that Linden is looking at Amber in the black and white photo below... they are such sweet people and make such a great couple!
All of you looked amazing for prom! We will see you again next year!

Lemonade On A Hot Day

We started out our shoot with a few lemonades on the hottest day of spring to date! The leaves on the trees had just opened up, and everything was the brilliant green that we patiently await every spring... The perfect setting for an afternoon shoot with an awesome couple!
Kelly and Alva were so much fun to shoot. They came to us, looking to gift their son and daughter some nice photos of them as a couple. Kelly would crack a joke, and Alva would always laugh. They have such a wonderful sence of humour and great chemistry together. It was easy to tell that they really enjoy eachothers company.

The Amazing Keefer!

If you know Keefer, you know her to be a super fun and friendly lady! We were happy that her partner chose us for a gift certificate so Keefer could have maternity photos done. We had such a great time! Of course, baby is now born and the family has started! Congratulations guys!

Lane and MacKenzie!

Lane and MacKenzie visited Jason in the studio recently for their annual photoshoot! It is always a fun time with these fantastic and energetic kids! Following them as they grow is a huge treat for us - can't wait for next year!

Fashions Without Borders!

We had a great time last Friday night shooting the Fashions Without Borders event at the Last Drop! Arranged by Estelle Norris, this event consisted of a fun fashion show and a silent auction with proceeds towards relief efforts in Haiti.
Lots of great fashions (also designed by Estelle) and plenty of energetic ladies as models made this a great event! Congrats everyone!!!

Fun times on the shores of Shuswap Lake!

Erin and I had the opportunity to shoot this wonderful couple, Cara and Brander, in beautiful Celista, BC on the banks of Shuswap Lake! They were such good sports and we had a blast!

Mothers Day is quickly approaching. Our "Pure and Elegant" event is a sure way to treat that special mom to a most wonderful pampering.

"Pure and Elegant" Live at Nelson Lodge

We are very excited to announce our first Pure and Elegant event! It will be held at the Nelsen Lodge, Revelstoke B.C. on May 15th,2010.
Upon arrival our guests will receive a warm greeting and consultation accompanied by some fine wines and tasty appetizers. Professional hair stylist Naomi Spataro, and professional makeup artist Linda Aberg will be pampering our guests with their services. After relaxing with the ladies we will then lead you to one of the rooms within the penthouse and settle you in to prepare for half an hour of photography. Jason Keerak will be accompanied by Erin Johnston. The two together make an outstanding photography team and will without any doubt deliver an amazing experience to our guests.
After the photo session the guests are welcome to stay, relax, eat, drink, and have a chance to meet other women. The Rockford Grill will then be offering something special in the case you would like to make an evening out of it.

I am Tanya Wolgram, Pure Studios newest team member and I am proud to say I will be helping Jason, Kathryn, and Erin with customer service/experience to exceed the expectations of our clients.

I am a local to Revelstoke (if you can call 11 years local) and moved here for the outdoor playground surrounding us. I am married with three beautiful children and as a family we take full advantage of all this lovely town has to offer. I have a very creative mind and a load of energy which didn't go unnoticed to Jason this past fall.

Pure Studios (previously known as Reflective Essence Photography) never ceases to amaze this little town of Revelstoke and beyond I'm sure. A little over three years ago Jason Keerak started up his home base photography business and impressed Revelstoke instantly. Now with an absolute beautiful and quaint little studio in downtown Revelstoke he continues to amaze this community with his unique and diverse style of photography. His newest edge to his breathtaking work is the "Unleashed" style and speaking from experience is one of the most empowering feelings a women could ever feel. The sky's the limit!!!!Jason's calm, gentle personality instantly sets the mind at ease and draws out the beauty within which is then captured and becomes timeless. Pure Studios wins Entrepreneurial Excellence Award!

WOW! What can we say? We were so excited to be nominated for the 2009 Revelstoke Entrepreneurial Excellence Award! Thank you to those people who nominated us that was great!

When we heard "Pure Studios" called as the winner at the awards banquet, I couldn't even get out of my chair! I really couldn't believe it! We were in good company for the nominations and to actually win the award has made us super proud!
Thanks everyone for continuing to support us! We couldn't do it without you!

Loyalty For 15 Years

As the seasons change and winter approaches, it is a reminder that nothing in life is permanent. It is a perfect time to reflect on the past and appreciate what has been accomplished and how we have grown. One of the most cherished of all memories is that of a good friend. Brian brought his dog Bear to us two years ago and we had a fantastic studio photo shoot. We heard from Brian again recently because Bear's health is not what it used to be. Without a doubt Brian and Bear have shared many memories as friends over the past 15 years.  As time rolls on, and when Bear is no longer around, Brian will always have these photos reminding him of the loyal friend and the time they shared.
