I am Tanya Wolgram, Pure Studios newest team member and I am proud to say I will be helping Jason, Kathryn, and Erin with customer service/experience to exceed the expectations of our clients.

I am a local to Revelstoke (if you can call 11 years local) and moved here for the outdoor playground surrounding us. I am married with three beautiful children and as a family we take full advantage of all this lovely town has to offer. I have a very creative mind and a load of energy which didn't go unnoticed to Jason this past fall.

Pure Studios (previously known as Reflective Essence Photography) never ceases to amaze this little town of Revelstoke and beyond I'm sure. A little over three years ago Jason Keerak started up his home base photography business and impressed Revelstoke instantly. Now with an absolute beautiful and quaint little studio in downtown Revelstoke he continues to amaze this community with his unique and diverse style of photography. His newest edge to his breathtaking work is the "Unleashed" style and speaking from experience is one of the most empowering feelings a women could ever feel. The sky's the limit!!!!Jason's calm, gentle personality instantly sets the mind at ease and draws out the beauty within which is then captured and becomes timeless. It's something every women has thought of and something every women should experience. Letting go of that self image/destruction that all females have is one of the hardest things to ever do but to see yourself looking more beautiful than you can ever have imagined is one of life's most wonderful experiences. I am so thankful that Jason has welcomed me to the team so that I could now share this with all of you.

Pure Studios wins Entrepreneurial Excellence Award!

WOW! What can we say? We were so excited to be nominated for the 2009 Revelstoke Entrepreneurial Excellence Award! Thank you to those people who nominated us that was great!

When we heard "Pure Studios" called as the winner at the awards banquet, I couldn't even get out of my chair! I really couldn't believe it! We were in good company for the nominations and to actually win the award has made us super proud!
Thanks everyone for continuing to support us! We couldn't do it without you!

Loyalty For 15 Years

As the seasons change and winter approaches, it is a reminder that nothing in life is permanent. It is a perfect time to reflect on the past and appreciate what has been accomplished and how we have grown. One of the most cherished of all memories is that of a good friend. Brian brought his dog Bear to us two years ago and we had a fantastic studio photo shoot. We heard from Brian again recently because Bear's health is not what it used to be. Without a doubt Brian and Bear have shared many memories as friends over the past 15 years.  As time rolls on, and when Bear is no longer around, Brian will always have these photos reminding him of the loyal friend and the time they shared.

What a fantastic day! Great family and friends, fantastic ceremony in Queen Elizabeth Park, and a helicopter ride to the top of Mt. Begbie to round the day off.

New Moon over MacKenzie!

We had a blast during Revelstoke's New Moon on MacKenzie celebrations! We set up a studio out in the middle of the street and offered photoshoots by donation to the Revelstoke Hopsital Auxiliary. What a day - we did 22 photoshoots in 5 hours! Thanks everyone for coming!

To promote our new “Signature Series” prints, we are giving away one custom digital file to all of our past clients that have never received one!

What is a Signature Series print you ask? We like to say it has extra love! First, we use only the best archival photographic papers and inks. Then, each print has our special protective finish applied to it that eliminates the need (and the glare) from glass. Finally, each print is also hand signed by the artist with an included certificate of authenticity.

NEW BABY!

Jason and Chantal had their baby on August 21st! Little Ivo Andre Keerak came into the world at 5am weighing in at a healthy 8 lbs.

This shot was one of Jason's favorites as it showed the emotion they were experiencing just seconds after Ivo's birth!

Ivo Andre was named after Jason's father (Ivo) and Chantal's father (Andre).

Krista and Brendan's wedding in Golden!

Kathryn and I had a great time photographing Krista and Brendan's wedding! What a scorching, sunny day we had! We never actually got a chance to meet this lovely couple until just before we started shooting... but with the e-mails and phone calls, the connection had already been made!

They were such a fun couple, we really enjoyed the wedding. Love was in the air!

As always, Lynn at Home did a great job of hosting the event, and everyone had such a great time.

At Dusk With Kehler's 2010 Camaro SS

Only a limited amount of 2010 Camaro's were built and John Kehler decided to adopt. After 18 months of anticipation, John finally brought home his new baby. Perfectly polished without a fingerprint to be seen, we shot a beautiful Revelstoke sunset in the reflection of John's car.

The image chosen for our blog was one of our High Definition shots. When the photo is complete it contains over 60 megapixels of combined data! This was very effective in showing the beauty of the sunset while highlighting the smooth curves of the newest addition to the Kehler family.

A successful Art Show at RMR's Nelsen lodge!

Thanks to all of you that visited us this last weekend during Homecoming at Revelstoke Mountain Resort's Nelsen Lodge! We were invited there to show off our art in their fancy new lobby. Hundreds and hundreds of people rolled by!

Here is an image that we played around with - we took about a half dozen images at the end of the show with a slow shutter speed (1.3s) and combined them to make a cool, moving effect. A fun Photoshop exercise!

Lord Revelstoke Visits

This weekend past, the streets of Revelstoke were swarming with a buzz of people. Long forgotten faces were warmly reconnected as people from far and wide returned back to our little town to take a walk down memory lane.

In spirit of the homecoming there was always something going on; live music, dances, parades, gondola rides, quilt shows, but one of the most memorable events was the banquet for Lord Revelstoke.

We made it to the banquet and were honored to watch as he was gifted, by the city, one of Pure Studio's original photographs of Revelstoke, and presented the key to our town. Those who were fortunate enough to listen to his words of genuine adoration, easily recognize this as yet another historical moment that will never be forgotten in Revelstoke.
